Yuck. We don't like rules either, but they make things run more smoothly. If we don't make some rules, we could get into trouble, and that not good for either of us.
- TRASH MUST BE BAGGED. Trash must be bagged in either 30 gallon bags or 13 gallon kitchen bags. Loose garbage is not allowed in the carts, and the lid on the cart must close or be semi closed.
- THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS WE CAN'T ACCEPT IN HOUSEHOLD TRASH DUE TO REGULATIONS. These would be liquids such as oils, paints (latex is okay as long as it is dried up with a drying material, it can't be in a liquid state. Oil paint is a hazardous waste and can't be accepted), yard waste, tires, batteries, hot ashes or coals, live ammunition (boom!) or construction debris. Construction debris is only acceptable as a junk removal job at this time and requires a call in and a price estimate given.
- TRASH SHOULD BE AT THE ROADSIDE BY 5 AM ON YOUR PICKUP DAY. We may need to adjust routes some days due to weather or road conditions so the earlier you have your trash out, the better. We do offer a valet service for a small fee if you request it, but if you do not request valet service, and your trash is not at the curb by 5 AM on trash day, it will not be picked up that week.
- TAKE CARE OF YOUR TRASH CART. If you receive our regular 3 bag a week service, you are provided free of charge one of our company branded trash carts (as they are available, we buy them in bulk quantities) to use. We expect them to be taken care of and returned when trash service is cancelled. If the cart is destroyed, missing or otherwise ruined, a $150 fee will be charged to your account for its replacement.
- TRASH SERVICE IS BILLED IN ADVANCE. Payment for service is due by the 1st of the month. A $3/week finance fee will be added if payment has not been received by the 7th. After 30 days, service will stop until payment is made. If service is stopped due to lack of payment, a $20 restart fee will be added to the amount owed.
- NO THEFT OF SERVICE- you MAY NOT allow another person to put their trash in with your trash. Each household that wants trash service is required to have their own service. For example, if you live in a duplex, each unit must have their own service. Four families living in a apartment house cannot share 1-2 trash carts. If you are caught doing these things, you will be charged additional fees and have possible termination of service.
- YOU ARE REQUIRED TO KNOW THE RULES OF HAVING OUR TRASH SERVICE. By using our service, you are agreeing to these rules we have in place. We will educate you ONE TIME on a rule. After that, you have violated the rules set in place and we may terminate service for this reason.
- OUR SERVICE IS CONTRACT FREE, WITH THERE BEING A FEW EXCEPTIONS. If you pay by the month, you are expected to use service for the full month. NO refunds will be given for unused weeks. Quarterly customers (paid three months at a time) may receive a refund of up to two months if they cancel within the first month of their quarter. You will be charged for one month minimum. Yearly service customers will be refunded for unused months of service. We understand that people move or have life changing circumstances that may require cancellation of service. However, if we feel someone is abusing our good faith services by paying ahead just to cancel a couple months in to save a couple dollars, know that extra administrative work costs us, and we may terminate service if we feel a customer is attempting to fraudulently use our services. We try to keep our costs competitive and affordable. We have a family to feed too.
